Irish Summer Magic: Nature’s Embrace and New Beginnings in the Studio

Hello Art Lovers,

It’s been an incredibly busy and inspiring summer here in Carlow.

The Irish weather has been surprisingly beautiful, offering the perfect balance: sunny days for working in the garden to refresh my mind, and those refreshing moments by the sea to swim and recharge.

I feel so deeply grateful that this beautiful country continues to inspire my art in new and profound ways.

Nature's Gifts and the Carlow Biodiversity Project

This deep connection to nature made creating my commissioned piece for Carlow County Council so natural and joyful.

For this special project—which will be part of a catalogue for the Co. Carlow Biodiversity Action Plan (2026–2031)—I chose my beloved Oak Park, a place where I spend every free moment to breathe and find distance.

In Oak Park, I observe the friendly robins, majestic swans, ducks, squirrels, and the most delicate, beautiful butterflies. It is a sanctuary of life.

I am enormously proud to be one of 30 artists selected to contribute to this important initiative. My painting is now finished, delivered to the Council office, and is awaiting scanning for the official catalogue.

A Glimpse into the New Collection:

"Fragments of Existence"

The inspiration is flowing stronger than ever, and I am thrilled to share a glimpse of my upcoming premiere collection, "Fragments of Existence." The premiere is set for this November at ArtSource 2026 in the RDS Dublin. While I am planning for at least 12 paintings in the series, the creative energy is so potent that there might be more!

I am excited to show you the final stages of one of the new pieces, which has just been completed and is now waiting for its beautiful black frame. The black frames are a deliberate choice for this collection, adding a touch of sophistication and quality that makes the textures and colors pop.

Introducing "Hug Me"

I want to share with you a closer look at "Hug Me" (90cm x 60cm on a deep-edge canvas).

While walking in the park, I often hug the trees and love to walk barefoot on the grass. I was reflecting on how much we, as people, are drifting apart today, and how a single embrace can anoint the soul. As I was finishing this painting, I heard a beautiful poem about trees—about how cedar trees "sing" and how we often ignore the wisdom of nature.

This deepened my connection to this piece even more.

"Hug Me" is a celebration of this connection.

It features a strong, sculpted, and powerful tree with striking 3D textures.

The surface beneath it is sandy, with dust swirling around. Its extended golden branches reach up towards the light—the magic of life itself.

Within the painting, two shining, almost invisible figures stand in wonder, drawn to the light and waiting for the embrace. It is simply pure magic.

While I am not yet publishing all the works from the "Fragments of Existence" collection on the website, you can make a preliminary reservation for one of them right now. Simply send me a message, and I will guide you through the process.

I thank you so much for taking the time to read what is happening in my studio. I wish you wonderful moments, and I encourage you to stay curious and observe our shared "fragments of existence."

With warmth,
