About the Artwork 
When I created "You Won’t Catch Me" (2026), I envisioned it as a cornerstone piece of my core collection, "Fragments of Existence" (previewing this November at RDS Art Source Dublin, Stand L28). This large-scale work explores the deep tension between visibility and elusiveness. I built the composition on a rich, atmospheric background where hidden inks and sprays suggest the complex mystery of the night sky.
The focal point features intricate, 3D sculptural textures of organic forms that mimic ancient roots or protective flora. Highlighted with decorative gold leaf, the piece reacts dynamically to changing light, shifting its mood from introspective to radiant throughout the day. To me, this represents the "eternity in fragility"—those parts of our soul that remain completely untouchable by the chaos of the outside world.
The Creative Process & Technique Crafted on a large, premium deep-edge canvas, this masterpiece is now professionally finished and set in a sleek black float frame crafted locally here in Carlow by JK Frame.
 
Techniques: Structural gesso relief, heavy modeling paste, acrylic aerosols, heavy-body acrylics, and specialized inks.
