About the Artwork 
When I created "Quiet Singing", I wanted to express my deep respect for nature, its radiant light, and its silent presence. This piece is inspired by listening to the space around us—the rustle of trees and observing plant fragments falling through a veil of rain. It evokes a feeling of finding shelter in a hidden rock cavity, offering a quiet, soothing song that calms you after a weary journey. To me, it is a true symbol of closeness to nature.
As part of my growing collection "Fragments of Existence" (previewing this November at RDS ArtSource Dublin, Stand L28), this work brings a grounded, meditative calm and organic texture into your living space.
The Creative Process & Technique I crafted this piece on a deep-edge canvas (46 cm x 36 cm), which is now professionally framed in a sleek black float frame (total framed dimensions 50x40 cm, depth 5.5 cm) custom-made locally here in Carlow by JK Frame.
Textured Surface: I used structural plaster, heavy gesso, and specialized modeling paste to build rich, organic reliefs.
Color & Gold: I applied layered acrylics infused with inks to achieve the ideal surface tones, finishing the raised details with shimmering gold leaf that catches the light beautifully.
