"Quiet Gleam" is a small gem born from a moment of much-needed quietude. Created after a long, exhausting week, this painting reflects the soothing embrace of standing by the ocean, stepping into the cool, invigorating water, and watching the sunlight play across gentle waves.
To capture that mesmerising, glass-like shimmer, I built a rich, tactile surface using sand paste infused with subtle gold particles, layered acrylics, and delicate silver leaf accents that catch and reflect changing light throughout the day. Beneath the soft foam of the tide lies a reminder that simplicity is often all we need—to sit, squint slightly against the sun, and let the gentle dancing light wrap us in complete peace.
