Weather Anomaly
"Weather Anomaly" is a tactile "sculpture of life," part of the Fragments of Existence series. It is a physical record of a transformative journey through Turkey, where the raw power of nature dictated every brushstroke.
The work was born from the awe of sudden climatic shifts—specifically a day when a massive sandstorm enveloped the world in a surreal, glowing orange haze. The sea and mountains vanished, leaving only a mystical, dust-filled atmosphere.
To translate this experience, I integrated genuine sand into the painting's structure, creating a gritty, organic relief.
The use of decorative gold and copper leaves captures the flickering sunlight struggling through heavy, storm-laden clouds. This piece is not just a painting; it is a view through a shimmering, orange-tinted window into a moment where the horizon simply ceased to exist.
