Part of upcoming collection, "Fragments of Existence" (previewing this November at RDS Art Source Dublin), this piece explores the heavy, transformative pain of loss and the enduring path of healing.
The title and emotional core of the painting were inspired by Seamus White, a photographer and writer who bravely shared his personal journey through bereavement. A line from his private message and moving poem captured the artist's heart: "Grief - it's just love with nowhere to go."
Technique: Incorporates heavy sculptural modeling paste, gesso, cracking liquid, acrylics, markers, and delicate gold leaf highlights.
