An Unplanned Vision Born from Dreams and Wind
Although the "Fragments of Existence" collection was initially intended to focus purely on texture and atmosphere without human figures, "Gilded Gusts" insisted on being painted. It began with eyes that visited me in a dream - piercing, emotive, and impossibly expressive.
Around the same time, the howling Irish autumn wind began to surge outside, while a close friend traveled to Egypt, sending stories of warm desert gusts and wrapped headscarves. My subconscious merged these worlds. I felt a sudden, irresistible need to capture the wind - not just as a physical force, but as an emotional gust sweeping over the human soul.
The sculpted blue scarf wraps tightly against the breeze, accented with rich gold and silver leaf lines that glisten like light catching a sudden gust. Behind it lie deeply hidden emotions: the quiet relief of wrapping oneself up against the cold, the sheer feeling of the wind clearing away chaotic thoughts, and that gentle, vulnerable moment where eyes sting with unshed tears from fatigue or raw beauty.
